Istanbul Romance

This morning we drive to the romantic seafront quarter of Bebek. Having one of the most beautiful coastlines of the Boshporus, enjoy an excellent view as we stroll along the Strait. After, we sail along the Bosphorus Strait in a small fishing boat past ancient ruins, picturesque villages, wooden houses, and forested areas. We disembark at the picturesque old city quarter of Ortakoy. After wandering the lively streets filled with historical buildings, craft sellers, and cafés, we stop for lunch at one of the many seafront restaurants

After lunch we continue to Dolmabahce Palace. This palace was built in the 19th century and is one of the most glamorous palaces in the world. Next we drive to Taksim Square. From here we start a walking tour of Istiklal Street. This pedestrian street is the heart of Istanbul’s modern city center. We walk through Istiklal to its other end, Tunel. Small side streets of this area are filled with bohemian pubs and cafés, where we stop for a tea or coffee break before returning.
