Beylerbeyi Palace

Kanlica
The Bosphorus is a narrow, navigable strait between Europe and Asia connecting the Black Sea to the Marmara Sea.
This boat ride takes us past the late Ottoman palaces, Dolmabahce and Beylerbeyi, as well as beautiful wooden
mansions and modern villas of the 19th and 20th centuries which form this elegant section of the city.
We disembark at the former fishermen's village of Anadolu Kavagi located on the Asian side where the Black Sea
and Bosporus Strait meet. Famous for its seafood restaurants, we suggest stopping for lunch prior to
continuing on to the ruins of Yoros Castle.
Located on top of the hill, this castle built by Genoese settlers in 1190, has unparalleled views of
Black Sea and Bosphorus Strait. From here we continue with a panoramic drive along the Asian coast of the
Bosphorus. En route we visit the picturesque seaside towns of Kanlica and Cengelkoy. Kanlica is a typical
and humble Bosphorus district, famous for it's authentic buildings and yogurt. Famous for its orchards,
Cengelkoy is one of the oldest and nicest residential districts where many mansions and summer residence
were built during the Ottoman period. Some of them still exist today. After these visit we return to
European side of the city via the Bosphorus Bridge.
* To make the price of the tour more reasonable, we use a taxi for transportation
